The Northampton Neptunes are arguably the fastest growing club in the National Division 1 Men’s Basketball League. The Club was formed in the year 2000, this was after the franchise take over of the men's team, formerly known as the Northampton 89ers.

Mark Spatcher, Gary Swann and Mark Wilson put together a rescue package to save the men’s team from folding. Whilst the club struggled in their first couple of seasons in Division 3, there were many signs that the club would improve and continue to move up the ranks of the National League. Since then the Neptunes have gone on to gain two promotions and one National Shield title in 2003.

Over the past 7 seasons the club has acquired a reputation for fast, exciting and attacking basketball, which shows in their growing fan base.

The Club now sets its’ sights on becoming a major contender in the top league!

The Neptunes home games are played at Lings Forum Leisure Centre, opposite Weston Favel Shopping Centre, Northampton.
